Good day friends! I've been pondering this all weekend and what better place to ask then where the experts hang out :-). So there is a car running the local cruise in's that is making some claims and I'd like to have some of your opinions please. Here is the car:
1965 Comet Super Cyclone A/FX clone
I beam front end
9" rear
steel rear wheels 8-10"
alum front wheels
4 spd
427 SOHC
front bucket seats, no rear
small one hoop roll bar behind the driver
Glass doors, hood, fenders, bumpers, and trunk

My main question is what would this car weigh? The owner claims 2500 but I don't see it possible. Sure, he's lightened the car up with the glass but my Falcon bone stock with a 6cyl weighed about 2400lbs and it's a smaller car. Thanks guys!!

Unless you have one JUST LIKE IT how in the hell would anyone know without simply guessing...?

Take it to a DOT weigh station and get the weight certified or use a cement/gravel company scale or use one at a drag strip.
Otherwise there is NO WAY to know.
