Friends car totaled that races with us.

Sorry this is a Chevy but it is a strange story. The President of the organization is actually driving because the owner/regular driver broke his collar bone recently. The Prez actually totaled his own Camaro at the last race. This is from the 275 DR class. They normally run 5.40's with the rules restrictions in place. By the way this car was leading the points race and actually I guess won the season since it got rained out before anyone could qualify.

He was the same driver of the red Camaro at the Denton race.

hell,that'll buff out! a little time on the frame rack and it'll be good as new. i dont know about the steering wheel.

I don't really know any more. We knew the weather was coming in so we were working (farmers) instead of racing so we didn't make it. I haven't been able to reach the owner. I am guessing he has his phone off. That car usually drives straight as an arrow.

I just heard that the driver already bought the owner a new roller. Maybe I will hear more as the week goes on.

Man that sucks.

It zinged the tires so fast, a lot of things could have caused it. Could have been the car, or maybe something got under the tires.

Can happen to any of us w/o warning.Did'nt look like anything the driver was responsible for. Sad deal

That looked like Orielly Raceway at Indy. That track can be slippery as hell after you get past the launch pad. He really got a hard lick for no further down track than he was. Them damn walls are unforgiving....

I guess I'm not the only one that had a bad weekend at the track! My car was going alot faster than that and I have quite a bit less damage thanks to "soft" guardrails instead of concrete. After it's over with you feel happy that you didn't get hurt, than you look at the damage to the car and don't feel so good about it! You would have to really feel like SH*T to wreck someone elses car, at least I wrecked my own junk.

Dallas Raceway in Crandall, Texas. Almost two years old now. Great surface and pits.

just glad he wasnt hurt ........ does suck .....hate to see a hard lick like that one ...no matter what brand it is
