Found what I needed...please delete this thread. Thanks
Edit: 9-15-10...added the 4th casting number below
This is a 460 intake that came on some 1973 and 1974 cars. (and possibly trucks?)
The intake cannot be modified in any way (no grinding on it)
Needs to be NHRA-IHRA legal. Should fit a Thermoquad spreadbore.
One of these 3 casting numbers will do:
D3ZA-AA
D3VE-AB
D4VE-BB
D4VE-CB
PM me if you have one.
Thanks,
Alan

I might have one or 2 of those. I'm not at home, i'm visiting my family right now. I'll see what is kicking around here first as i do have some junk stored. If not here may be one at home.
I'll let you know if i find one here.

I have a DOOE-9425 [cobrajet] intake that a thermoquad will fit on, if you can use it instead of the ones you have listed $140 shipped

OK guys...I now have my Stock Eliminator Mustang so the 1974 460 build is on.
Still looking for an intake from post # 1.
Would be great if someone had one and brought it to the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green.

I believe in the GT classes you can run any production motor in any body.

In IHRA Stock GT you can run any 1980 and later body with a 1979 or earlier engine.
Since I like the later model cars and carbed engines with an automatic, the 1974 combo looks the most attractive combo because that is the only year that the Carter Thermoquad came on the passenger car 460.
It's actually the engine that was available in the 1974 Torino, but I have no interest in racing a 4000 lb monster, so that's why I decided on a lightweight coupe.

I have a 91 Mustang Coupe, but I will dress it as an '89 to get a better weight break.
Here is the link to the engine build:

Alan,
I may have what you need. It's on a 73 460 from a Lincoln... It's in the shop.
I know it's 4 barrel but not sure if it's a spread bore...
Give me a call when you get a chance. I'll be out to the shop this weekend.

Glad I could help you out Alan and the price is right to boot
