4th of July accident

Well, my 4th didnt go as planed.. I'm up here on lake Keystone and me and a buddy set out a trotline Saturday night, hoping to catch a mess of fish. When we went to check it yesterday morning, I beached the boat and went to get out, and tripped over the rails on the front of the boat and broke my leg above my ankle, I knew what happend so I walrused my fat ass back in the boat, had my buddy duck tape an oar to the outside of my leg and made the trip back to the boat dock. From there it was an ambulance ride to the ER, they took x rays and said I would need surgury to fix my f@ck up. So looks like I'm out till about fall.. I just wanna get fixed and start recovery, gonna drink milk till the cows come home !! LOL

Not good.....hope it's not your gas-on-it foot. Hope it mends fast, milk does a body good!!

Thanks, its my left leg so should be able to drive soon ...? Nothing left to do but to go through it and live on. I'm sure not use to being so helpless

Man that sux, did you at least get some fish off the trotline.

No I didnt even get to check it :{ Broke my leg as soon as I got out of the boat, Got right back in and left.. Sux too had to abandon it altogether, probably had a few big fish on it !
Got back from the doctor awhile ago seems I tore some ligaments and broke my fibula above my ankle, Gonna screw and plate it back togethor Thursday, said I would be down for three months ... Thats gonna suck ! On top of that They think I hurt my knee too.

need to stick to racin', that fishin stuff is dangerous...............

Damn that really sucks. That seems to be a hard area to heal from what I have heard.
