Re: New TNT 7-30-10 results
It may be, but we are trying some borrowed parts to see what's up with the car.
If your old converter was a 10" and was that loose I can tell you its not a good piece.

I agree Jon. Like I said before I watched the car in person from 10 feet away. The car does not react at all, engine sounds labored like a locked up converter at to low of an rpm, but he says it flashes way high ??? Something wrong with the converter almost 99.9% sure.

Good results
Well guys, it is 2:45 a.m. and I just got back from TNT and had a shower. I have to meet my fishing partner for a tourney at 3:30 a.m. so here goes.
With the new converter from Coug the car (at first) did not do well. However, it was a fuel problem. The car went a 1.60 short time and ran 107 mph. It would not even go up against the rev limiter. So...we thought maybe the return line was blocked (super rich) with a 68 pill. We noticed the return was good but dumping fuel directly into/over the supply fitting for the pump making bubbles. We put a 90 on the return inside the tank and changed the pill to a 72 and it ran the infamous 6.23 at 109 with a 1.39 short time. Went to a 80 pill and ran a 6.14 at 110 with a 1.38 short time. Went to a 90 pill and it ran the best ever, 6.11 at 111 with a 1.35 short time. Went to a 98 pill and it slowed down on 60 but picked up a little mph, less than a half, still 111. Short time was off at 1.38. Ran 6.14. We discovered that now that the fuel system seems fixed, the new converter does not stall enough, flashing 5100. The Coug was right, putting in a new converter helped me see where the car was going wrong. I'm going to throw the old converter in stalling at 5500 and see for sure if it is broke. If it is broke, then I'll get with Randy about his converter and get a little more stall in it. This might take a minute but I'll keep everyone posted.
Thanks for all the comments and help. You guys are the bomb.

Its good your seeing results by changing the pills, I agree the Coug's converter is snug, but even at that it looks be be going the right direction.
What size, style cell do you have? where is the pickup located??
The air sucks too right now lol.

The cell is a dragster style, odd shaped and shallow. The pick up is in the back and bottom. I had to drill my own return hole so I did not know better and put over the pick up. I agree, the air is awful...come on fall.
