how presser dose a ford power rack and pinion return hose have on it??
and how hot dose the oil get.

Your gonna have to get all the oil off of the fittings in order for an epoxy to attempt to seal that deal. You might get some mighty putty or similar stuff to slow it down. Don't remember the psi, but getting the stuff to even stick to that is gonna be near impossible.

Make sure its not leaking between the line and the nut, if it is then the line is bad and a new one will fix it............if its between the nut and the rack the best option is a few wraps of teflon tape......other than that I don't think smearing anything on the outside is gonna solve it.....and will make for a hell of a mess to deal with later.

it is a new line. and it is between the nut and the rack. and he don't have $ to replace the rack right now. just trying to get him going.
I know this ant the right way to do it but working 2-3 days a week doesn't leave him much for car repairs.
