Fel-Pro paper catalog?
Does anyone have a Fel-Pro Gasket master paper catalog? Their online lookup system is useless.
I am looking for part #90142, but that is not a complete part #. I need the whole thing. This is for the rubber end seals for a 460 intake gasket set.
The full set, with end seals and side gaskets is MS 90110-1
It contains:
two 90110 side gaskets
two 90142 end seals
Are there any other letters that go with the 90142 ?
I need to pull the intake off my 588 to check a lifter. The gap at the ends of the intake between the block and intake is a little more than I'm comfortable with using only silicone. My first try with this intake I only used silicone and it leaked. Just too much of a gap. These rubber end seals have a lip on both sides to keep it from slipping off the china wall. Much, much better than the cork end seals. I'm using the rubber ones now. Just laid them down and put a small bead of silicone on top to seal the intake. Hasn't leaked a drop.
I bought the whole set to get the ones I'm using now. If I can come up with a part # for the just the end seals I will order some.
Thanks

If you'll use the Ford TA31 and apply it right it wont be an issue I promise. The only issue is you need to let it cure before running the engine with a vacuum pump...........24 hr is plenty of time.
I'd trust that over a cork or rubber end seal any day.

I caulk my shower with that stuff..................
Not to be confused with "white' or "black" caulk, but rather it is "grey".....................

How tall of a bead can you run with this stuff? Even after I tighten my intake down I still have a 3/8" + gap. I guess it's just my particular intake and block. The port match is good though, checked it with a dental mirror and flashlight.
It has worked well with the rubber/silicone (Right Stuff) combo. Not a drop leaked.

would be fine. If you get some from a local dealer be sure to make sure the exp date is not up, be sure to get the surface clean, like with brake cleaner or acetone, assemble right after applying and dont let it skin or it will never stick,
You'll be amazed how well that stuff sets up.

Re: Fel-Pro paper catalog?
David,
Chuck uses a rubber strip on his BAE engines that forms perfectly to the gap. It is a straight strip that they just lay down and trim. I wonder if that would work good on out engine? I call him and see where to get them.
