The edelbrocks a 600 I'm trying to get rid of it. I'm aware the BG is a pain to tune but I have patience

best carb is a 800 cfm Holley.. what is the rest of the build -- engine specs/headers, trans/tq.conv , rear gears/tires.

410ci rubbed on 4v closed chamber heads,10.8:1 squeeze Holley strip dominator intake, solid roller, 252/262 duration @ .050 641/650 lift 108 seperation angle, headers are hooker super comps. 2" primary with 3 1/2 collector. Converter is not going to be made until after the dyno but probably 3000 3500 stall range with 4.11 gears. Should run 11.5 in a 3300 pound car maybe. Probably slower though lol.

That's down the road for this motor. How fast do you think it's gonna run guys?

A nose heavy 3700 lb '70 Ranchero I had years ago ran 7.70's motor & 6.70's on the bottle spinning on crappy slicks. It was a fairly low buck build for the time ('89 - '90) with "old" 351-C technology (heavy +.030" TRW domed pistons, stock crank, stock rods, ancient Crane .640" lift flat tappet cam, 4V-CC heads milled .080", Strip Dommy intake, Dommy carb, grouted 2 bolt block, FMX trans, 3500 converter).
So if your car has less weight, newer technology, & hooks good you could be a bunch faster.

I'm about 3300 with cal trac's should plant well. So my goal of 11.5 or faster can be reached with this? 10.99 would be amazing

A guy over on the Ranchero.us site is running mid 12s with his 393 cleveland, a 4 speed, and slicks in a 72 Ranchero and doesn't have it all tuned in just yet, I'll bet you've got low 11s in there.

Sounds great here
I'll just use some spray or alky to hit 10's

I agree with Randy, I wouldn't throw anything less on that build than an 850. It'll like it, and so will you.

JUST ANOTHER THOUGHT.
Madd, I do understand your project with the 335 series engine is well under way and I'm sure you know this. A 385 series is right at home in the '71 through '73 Mustangs! A moderate 385 build with well thought out components will do amazing things on the street and remain very street-able.

I know they are, that's partly why I bought it
But the closest project I have to being done 385 wise would probably warp the chasis beyond repair.
I had roughly 75 percent of the parts for the Cleveland as is. I'm finishing it so I can just drive. The rest of the season so I don't rush through my other motors..
