Whoop! Way to go Chirstina and all of the BBFs. J-MO is one tough racer. The dragster I own now was James'. He is probably one of the most under acknowledged racers in the country.

Congratulations on the win Christina! Great job and great runs by all the Fords.

It's late Sunday morning and I just got home. 520 miles round trip. Jon take it easy on James please, he's always been gracious whether in victory or defeat, and we consider him a friend. Like Curt said he is a fabulously good racer and we wish we had as many Wally's as he has won.

I'm just proud of all of our BB Ford brothers that did well this weekend. It started Friday night at Windy Hollow when Bobby Shrewsberry who won Super Pro at the Ford Bash runnered-up. Bobby did all the tuning, I was just the monkey holding the flashlight. Anyway during the week, I suggested a jetting change for the TFS Mafia intake that is on Bobby's engine and it did NOT work. We stunk up the place with a bad/worst 5.10 e.t. in our last time trial, but changed timing, jetting and finally a new set of spark plugs and worked our way back down to a low of 4.81 e.t. For example we lost in the first round, but bought back and kept after things and Bobby did a fine job of finishline driving, because we sure didn't know what it was going to run. Congrats to Bobby!

Then Saturday night at Bunker Hill and we had all 3 local Fords in the program with low 4.50's, anchored by Bobby Small's # 1 qualifing 4.51 e.t. I was certainly pleased with Bobby Small, Scott Carmen and Kristina Lawyer's performances all night. All the racers were cutting each other's throat on the tree. For example .008 losing to a .007,,,, .002 losing to a .004,,,, and so on. Kristina was cutting double "0" lights all night and in the final it was her .001 to James's .008.

It was also good to see Darren Douglas who was there with his C-460 headed dragster in Super Pro. They have raced with us at the Ford Bash before.

Wow that sounds like an exciting final, "Stone Cold" Kicked some butt on the starting line !!!

This bunch just continues to impress.

Congrats to all the BBF racers. Charlie it sounds like you all had a good time.
I want to get over there to watch the races sometime. Bunker Hill is only 1 1/2 hours away from me.
Yesterday would have been a good day to go watch the races.

As faor the pictures, I don't know of anybody who did. I think one of Kristina's buddies was doing the video thing,,,,I leave this one up to Todd or Gail Lawyer to see if any pictures are floating around.

I missed getting there in time for the final by about 15 minutes.
I asked a friend of mine who won when I got there and he said "some chic won it".... I said "yea, she was probably driving a Ford too".....
Congrats to the Lawyer family for a win against a tough racer on a tough track.

Big Congrats to the Lawyers and Charlie! Also want to give a Good Job to Scott Carmen for his semi finish and Bobby Small for his Qtr finish. Both cars are American Dragsters purchased from Oakley Motorsports. Also congrats to Bob Shrewsberry for his runner-up Friday with his American Dragster.

To all you guys down KY. way, next week is q-8 week at Edgewater, come on up, and take their money.

Sorry it took me a while to check the forum; I had a long drive home to Michigan. Many thanks to all of you for the congratulations and kind words, it means a lot to my parents and I. Special thanks to Charlie, Phillip, Dave, and Lem for their guidance and support.

It was weird. James Monroe was dialed 4.51 and that was on the scoreboard for a few seconds. Then it changed to 4.50 for some reason and somebody spotted the change and that's when the red lights came on and the cars backed out. The tower corrected themselves and it went back to 4.51, and then the cars moved back in.

On that run Kristina was dialed 4.55 if my memory is correct, so she got the head start. What I noticed about the video, besides the camera guy getting blown over the guard rail, was that if you watch the lights come down and then turn green, Kristina was gone. She had a .001 reaction time.

I figured it was a box setup, but some people have good reaction times like that every now and then. A guy I know has a rail car and I don;t think he is running a box I don't need no stinking box, I got cat like reflexes!
