Are Two Steps Hard on Parts? Empty Are Two Steps Hard on Parts?

Been considering switching to a trans brake/two step deal over the winter and I was wondering if anyone has evidence of two steps being hard on engines. Aside from sounding like crap on the starting line are there any ill effects to using a two step?

I have used one for lots and lots of years on all sorts of combos. If something breaks while using one it was gonna break anyway.

x2,the trans brake is the one that'll show you a "weak link".lol the harder you go off the brake the more stuff gets a good jar.i found my fasteners on the front cap were bending and looked at the fender/door line to find chipped paint. Shocked

Same here, but I do think the Digital 6 and 7 boxes with the built in 2 steps are easier on the rotating assembly. Notice how a two step with a 6 or 7AL pops and bangs then compare it to a Digital. The Digital's sound much smoother. No popping and banging. More of almost a purrrrrr sound. Like it's just trying to rev and can't. They are set up so they don't drop the same cylinder twice in a row and it doesn't load up with fuel that get's exploded on the way out.

Just my opinion.

Awww mannn! I was hopping to hear some atomic jiffy pop going off when I hit the revs, I guess I'll hear a mean cat sound. Evil or Very Mad But if its better for the engine I guess I can't whine. Smile
