Steering Wheel Falls Off Race Car

Either he did not notice it at first or, that is one cool customer.....He didn't seem to be in a big hurry to get it back on.
I can't believe how far he had the wheel cranked during the pass....definately was fighting it a little...cool video.

I had that happen once. Let go of the button and wahoo the wheel comes off in my hands right on the launch. Tried to get it back on but my coupler is a little fussy so no go... Ended up coming to a stop about 150 feet out with the right corner of my front bumper just touching the wall.

I check mine like 5 times to make sure its latched..............lot to be said for an assload of caster in a racecar front suspension.............

Back in high school a couple of guys were building a circle track car, and they had tightened the brakes on the drivers side wheels to pull the car down in the corners , long story short they took it for a drive in the parking lot, hit the gas, the steering wheel comes off, he hit the brakes, car makes a left turn into a parked car! They didn't have a seat in it yet either, the driver was sitting on a milk crate when the wheel came off he fell backward. Looked pretty spectacular! Luckily nobody was hurt, just bruised egos....
