D0VE C Head question
I'm looking at a pair of heads that are "supposed to be" D0VE C. The Casting numbers have been ground off for some unknown reason. Is there any other way to tell if they are, in fact, D0VE C ?

Re: D0VE C Head question
They have screw in studs and small combustion chambers. I'd be a little skeptical of them having DOVE-C ground off ? Could be D3VE's that someone put the studs in. The DOVE's use the large spark plug too, not sure about a D3 , I'll have to go look ?

Probably C8/C9/D0ve. Pretty much same head. But,don't know why someone would grind off the #'s

Thanks again. As far as grinding the numbers off, I guess it's one of life's little mysteries.

Re: D0VE C Head question
I have seen guys in mud racing and truck pulling classes grind off part or all of casting numbers to keep nosey people from knowing what they have.
