Watched my son's football game, and went racin'.....
Well, it started out Friday as I got ready to go to the races. My son had a football game in Butte just 20 miles from the track, so I figured I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I got to watch Skyler and the Capital High Bruins, come back after halftime, and being down 17-6. Our defense held the Butte High Bulldog's to just 7 points in the 2nd half, and come up with 32 unanswered points of their own This picture is from the front page of the Butte paper. It was an awesome throw by the Butte QB, (45+ yds. in the air). The photographer made it look good for their paper, seeing as it was a huge gain.
What the picture don't show you is how Skyler (#5) put a stop to the action but quick after the ball was caught.
Skyler was in on several big plays, including a last ditch effort by Butte at the end of the 4th qtr. in which Skyler picked the ball in the endzone, to end Butte's hopes of scoring again in the game. I noticed the Butte paper never had a picture of that! We're now 3-0. But I got this pic of the end result though.
It definitely wasn't my best day at the track yesterday. My delay box was causing problems with my T-brake, so I took it out and just ran it direct. I figured, no problem, I'll just go off the bottom yellow and all will be good. RRRIIIIIGHT! That statement proves that thinking something, and doing it is TOTALLY different! All I gotta say is, I'm glad I'm not in the points race. The truck ran great, but my performance was WAY less than stellar. The last time I saw that many red lights is when the fire station down the road went on a fire call. Oh well, at least my buddy Randy (the guy with the T-Bolt clone) went on to win the Pro class, and put the Ford up front. No pics or vids, as I forgot my camera at home. Oh well, y'all didn't miss much. My best run was a 6.38 @ 111 mph at about 5900' D/A before the air got worse later in the morning. I ran consistent 6.42-6.44's all day, but to no avail. Such is life.
