Re: fuel injection
Randy I have allready checked with Hillborn about the setup it takes a Blue thunder Webber manifold with their butterfly bodies, and as Dave said 2 3/16 or 2 3/8 ain't gonna cut it.... I figured 2 7/8 to 3 inch should be close.....

Beats me I was just being a smart azz. Just kidding though, I don't know much about high performance injection systems.Lem Evans wrote:bb429power wrote:vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv

I am thinking about cutting my 4150 victor up , making my own bodies , and buying butter fly's and shaft's, and ram tubes .

Randy,
Before you do, give me a chance to call Mr. Kent Enderle and see what he can do in making a mechanical fuel injection set-up similiar to the electronic Hilborn set-up that you pictured.

Down where?
the heads are drilled from the exhaust side to the bowl area above the valve and a tube is welded or pressed in the head and the fuel nozzles comes out in the bowl just above the valve and sprays the fuel right on the valve and keeps the disturbance out of the runner in the head

That's fine , but Blake and I were talking today if it might be better to not use a weber intake because of the abrupt turn at the head. Just keep the tubes the same angle as the port. I don't know if there is enough meat on that weber to change the angle that much ?

Re: fuel injection

Those Blue Thunder intakes are offered with the horizontal carb pad as you pictured,,,,,,and then also with a 10* carb pad so that the injector tubes are inclined more towards each other (total of 20*). That should help accomplish what you and Blake were talking about.

Re: fuel injection
Well I've got a new set of billet intake flanges here and the valley pan too. I can't remember whether or not I showed them to Blake or Randy.

Re: fuel injection
I'd do a sheet metal / billet ram and a enderle catcher set up with the down nozzels or direct injection.

I am not sure Mrs Kymustang would see that being in the budget, but I bet I could hide a fogger under all that
