'68 mustang motor
the motor in my new toy is a 460 block DIVE - AA with heads DOVE - C Can any one tell me what I have here? the car went low 10's with this set up

what I was after is are they good heads and block? is there any possibility its 4 bolt mains?

Never seen a D1 that was 4bolt from the factory. The D0 heads are good small combustion heads. Not the BEST,but better than some. A good combo for 10's in a 3k pound car w,the right parts.

Odviously the heads appear to be working pretty decent and yes as far as regular Small port castings the dove stuff is considered desireable.
Their where a very very few thick web 4 bolt D1 blocks cast but I wouldn't count on having one, but aftermarket caps could have been added by the builder. But for the most part 99.99 % of the D1 blocks from the factory are 2 bolt. But thiers nothing wrong with a factory 2 bolt block, they are reliable to 750+ hp and guys have used then in 1000+ hp builds.

I haven't weighed it my self yet but its supposed to be around 2400 lbs. I will post pics next week. it goes in for paint on saturday. It has a glass trunk and front end with lexan windows
