C6 Shift Pattern???
I have a C6 Transmission but don't have it linked to the shifter yet. Two questions:
What is the shift pattern for this transmission from front to rear?
I'm able to turn the drive shaft no matter which gear I have it in. Is this supposed to happen?
Thanks!

Re: C6 Shift Pattern???
The tail shaft should turn in any selection EXCEPT Park. When shift detent is at PARK, it will have a bit of "springy" movement forward (relative to the shift arm position). Considering it's not a pre-70 model unit. Shift pattern with standard valve body will be P R N D 2 L. If one of the earlier "green dot" units the shift pattern is a bit different, P R N 2 D L.
Hope this helps.
Dave.

Re: C6 Shift Pattern???
Hmm, what if the tail shaft spins no matter which gear I have it in? Including park?
Let's see, is that shift pattern from front to rear on the transmission itself or is it from front to rear on the shifter inside the car? I'm confused because the two placements are opposite of each other via the linkage.
Thanks Dave!
