I remember you telling me about that engine Frank, but I thought that you had it sold. I'm hoping the 604 that I picked up in Ohio and dropped off to Randy M will get the job done. It won't be quite that good, but it should get close.

Don't forget those pre-fabbed brackets are usually made for drag cars that sit lower to the ground. Flip that rear around and all will be good

The second pic in your other post without the shock is the way the axle bracket should be.

This one was down the page a little. If it runs that good I'll be
I've never been to the mud races in Diller. I lived down there until I was 15, about 10 miles north and east by Ellis NE.

How's your new engine coming along Eric? I think your old engine will do just fine with whatever it puts out.

Well the monsoon season came back so I had some time to get to work on the truck again. Went from this.
To this. The last pic is just to see about how it will look. It is about 6" above actual ride height because it is still on the jack stands.

Finished the axle housing today. The brackets are welded on, and it's painted and ready for assembly.
Let the paint dry, and got it bolted back in the truck.
3rd member in, axles bolted in, and brakes on.

Got a few little items done. Motor plate is on and fits like a glove. Thanks Randy.
And put the headers on to check them out for fit and width. Tim Murphy makes some real nice stuff. They fit like a glove and look like a million bucks.

It all looks good Rob! How is your upper shock crossmember attached to the frame? that area will take a beating...you might want to add more bracing to the mount, just a thought.
