A460 block clearance
Does this block have to be clearanced in the bottom for a 4.5 stroke with h-beam rods?
Is it mandatory that torque plates be used? This block is heavy heavy i mean thick thick and heavy. I love it so far. I want good machine work but also trying to keep the cost at the min.
Thanks

The block doesn't need to be clearanced for 4.500 but yes on the torque plates imo

IMO with the Ford head bolt layout torque plates are not critical or manditory (but it won't hurt either), they also have thick decks with blind holes, not like a Big Block Chevy.
