is there a reason for the pans with the front and rear sumps? does the engine sit more level.there is a rear sump pan on my 79 stang with a stock k-member and a 466.

The Rear pans are used for rack / suspension clearance. A front sump pan will not fit in a fox body.
Moroso, Canton, Milodon and a number of others make good on the shelf fox body rear sump pans. or you can go custom like Bruno is suggesting, the custom stuff is generaly a little more expensive but can be build more specific to your needs.
I wouldn't use a stock truck pan in a performance application unless you do alot of baffle work and mods to it. in stock form oil tends to leave the sump on them in hard acceleration or decelleration.

With the builds I do for customers I use Canton Pans; either the 15-770 for most street/strip applications or the 13-772 with the side kick-out for drag race applications.
Re: what oil pan do you guys have in your 460 foxbody?
The only reason there is a front "sump" is to clear the oil pump. There is not enough room on top of the k-member to keep the same depth as the front "sump" all the way to the rear sump...
I've run the Moroso street/strip pan with good results. Stay away from the factory truck pan unless you want to work it over real good...

Can someone post a picture of the stock oil pan with baffles welded in it? I would like to do this to mine. And what is the part number for the baffle used.

You need to Fabricate the baffle's yourself, I haven't seen anything aftermarket avalaible.

Installing a Horozontal Baffle over the rear sump just above the actual oil level in the pan, (with a cutout for the pickup), will be the most effective.
