Duraspark ignition question Empty Duraspark ignition question

Post  John G December 8th 2010, 11:12 pm

I have a dusaspark distributor. What all is needed to make it work? I am planning on getting a 6al digital. Is the factory ignition module still needed when you are using a 6al box? If so what is the best place to get the wiring harness or connectors I need to hook it all up.

Thanks in advance,
JG

Three wires coming out of the distributor you don't use the black one................ just the two for the magnetic pick up, the black one is ground

you can get a connector from MSD and it will make a nice neat plug in deal.

YES ... the correct MSD connector/adapter to the distributor works perfectly and gets the polarity Right. If you are going to hard wire it, be sure the polarity is correct; (wire colors from one don't necessarily coincide with the other).
