557 Cubic Inches
4.440 bore
4.50 stroke
6.80 rod
=1.511
6.70 rod
=1.488

532 Cubic Inches
4.440 bore
4.30 stroke
6.7 rod
=1.558
6.8 rod
1.580

So what are the advantages over the others?

This is only my oppinon but the shorter the rod ratio the more the piston side loads the skirts in the block during rotation. also if you are running a power adder i always look at the compression height on the piston as a factor for a good ring pack. I dont want to argue with anybody about what is better 557 or 532 but i have had both and the 557 showed more wear on the skirts of the pistons in one season than my 532 in three season that is why it was sold. both motors ran within a .10 of each other in the same car with same carb, same intake, same compression, same heads, just differnt cams. so i do not think either has an advantage of the other. Whenever i build a motor i look at the whole package just not cubic inches.

things i look at

Compression height for piston(What types of pistons are available shelf or custom)
Rod Ratio
Desired RPm
Head flow vs cubic Inches
Intake flow vs head flow
Power Adder?

I am no expert by any means but i try to think about it before i just buy a kit i like to maximize all componets to try to get the best performance. and bigger is not always better.
