upgraded brakes
Ok, while I'm still trying to come up with a plan to begin a BBF build this year for my fox ('87 GT), I am still going to be upgrading other areas of the car, especially brakes......I'm about to pull the trigger on my 5 lug upgrade/rear disc brake upgrade/gears/axles, but since I plan on dropping a big block in to the car later in the year (hopefully) I need some advice. I am going to the SN95 front and rear disc brakes. I am hoping to keep power brakes as this will be street driven (often). Is it feasible, or will it just be too much work(to keep the power brakes with the big block)? I would like to get this all sorted out before I do the conversion so I only have to do it once. What are your thoughts on manual brakes on a daily driver? If it seems like it's gonna be more work than worth, I'll just convert to manual brakes. Anyone have any idea what size master cylinder I'll need for the sn95 brakes if I go manual? Thanks in advance.

What size master cylinder do you have? And did you go with a conversion kit, or did you make your own? I am seriously considering this one http://www.skinnykidracecars.com/products/536/skrc-mcyl7993bb

Re: upgraded brakes
on my zephyr i went with sn95 front spindles for both the bigger brakes and the five lug rim upgrade. be aware that the tie rods need to be longer to engage enough of the threads on the rack.
,,,,i had no luck with any of the manual masters or even the upr manual kit. i used a middle 80s booster and it cleared stock style valve covers with only a slight crease in the cover. hope that helps some, bobn

Re: upgraded brakes
that's the main reason I was looking at the one from skinny kid race cars.....it shifts the position of the master cylinder to allow extra clearance....
