Mezier water pumps
I have a meziere water pump that has been on my car for about 4 yrs now. Is there maintenance that needs to be done to these pumps? Mine seems to not be turning as fast as in the past, might just be me...........

Just me then, noticed my water temp going and it doesnt sound like pump is turning as strong. As a matter of fact in the fall had to change the electrical connection. Battery not a issue.

How many amps is it pulling?
Harold, the pump has sealed bearings, shouldnt need any lube, and if it does,,,,,,,,,,,,,, that could be his problem.
^^^^ and, dont run antifreeze

The impeller may be loosening up causing it to bind on the side case. Had one do that a few years ago. Took it apart and tightened the nut with a little red loctite and it was as good as new. The pump was probably 5-6 years old then. Still have it and it works fine to this day.

Had a friend who had his burn the windings up in the motor this year. Just quit. No idea how old it was though.
