4500 Carb Spacer's
Guy's been out in the garage setting up the starting line controllers for both cars. But I ran in to a small problem. I need to run some kind of carb spacer under the Throttle stop and was wondering what your guy's real world experience is on the Dyno. I did a goole search adn came up with quite a few of them. Looking like most the raving is the HVH 2" 4 hole deal.

Spacers
With my 557" on the dyno,
I gained 4-5hp with a 1" Jomar Power Cone for a 1250 Dommy over a 4500 1" fully open spacer alone and with the Jomar stacked with the open. Maybe on a larger engine it would have like both spacers ?
Just my experience on the dyno. Mark.

I have NEVER seen the JOMAR 1" Power Cone lose any power anywhere; it may pick-up the peak or the average or nothing but, never lose any. Trying others may find a better one however, those may lose some power and if not tested, you just don't know.
I have seen as much as 19 at the peak but, every combination is different.

not that one^^^ ,ive never tested it, but with some others we have lost up to 8hp across the board

Ace,
As a general rule of thumb with most BB Ford engines we build and dyno here, they seem to like a 1" carb spacer,,,,the #1 choice being the Jomar Power Cone and then secondly the HVH Super Sucker, 4 hole into cloverleaf, or 4 hole into open, depending upon your manifold.
Make sure that your throttle bore diameters match up correctly; i.e. the 1050 and 1150 cfm Dommys use a 2.000" throttle bore, and the 1250 cfm Dommy uses a 2.125" throttle bore.

Charlie
Thanks for the info as I stated this will be mounted UNDER a Dedenbear throttle stop. The only reason for doing this is to gain some clearence problems that have come up for my filler neck on the intake.
