Re: Scott Carman's fresh 598"
Lem thanks for posting the pictures. Scott runs the SQ 32 series and this is his upgraded engine. More compression, better ring package, more camshaft, new oil pan and more cylinder head mods. We will be on the dyno soon. Scott finished 10th in the series this year with a win at Terra Haute,In and a 5,000 win at Lyons raceway in Washington,In along with several local wins. We wish him the best of luck in 2011.

Guys,
Of course Harold is kidding, that particular dragster in the background is one of Phillip's and I assure you all, it's one of the most beautiful dragsters in the country Furthermore it is a proven winner in NHRA Top Dragster. That one is not for sale, but Phillip has another American Racecars dragster that is for sale. For those that don't know, there have been many people that have turned to Phillip for help in regards to making their rides faster and he has always come through and been able to help them, whether it be a Ford powered. Chevy powered or Mopar powered. It's not always about the engine, but carburetor, convertor, chassis, tires and many other factors enter into the mix. Sorta' like the old E.F. Hutton commerical, when Phillip speaks, I listen.

Nice!
Phillip, What's the story on the coil bracket on the aluminum block motor in the floor? Is it a Ford specific piece? bbc modded to fit the ford acc bolt pattern?
I has noticed it on the dyno thread about that engine. Going to need some sort of bracket for mine using that same coil.

Re: Scott Carman's fresh 598"
Okay guys,
I started another thread and posted the results, then I found the pictures Lem had posted a few pages back. So this engine was dynoed yesterday and Phillip made 1079 Hp. It made over 1070 Hp over a broad 600 rpm range.
