Picking up the racetruck tomorrow; Here's a few pics..
A few notes about the truck:
1974 Ford F100, 641" BBF, C head, drysump, glide
2094 lbs with the bedcover on as is in these pics, not sure on the f/r %. It was 52F/48R when it arrived at the chassis shop. I suspect with the fuel stuff moved to the back, it will be around 51/49.
Wheels will be Weld Alumistar 2.0 spindle mounts and matching 16" x 16"s in the back.
It will be painted a similar color blue and the chassis will be gunmetal powder like a new TMRC promod.
Ok, just so everyone knows, this throttle return spring and cable will be changed. I think this goofy spring is on there for testing only. The cable is a "push" cable and will be re-done with a "pull" cable.
You can see in this pic that there are still some door gap issues. The roof is chopped on this thing and the door needs some more TLC to make the gaps right. I am going to weld on some filler is some areas and grind off in others to try and make the gap right.
This "alien head" dash panel is going to be changed also. Notice the fire system handle is too low. It has been move as well as the shifter. Notice the driver's side starter. I moved it to have a full kickout on the oil pan.

David ,your truck is killer!! I love that blue , I had a 78 that color shortbed with light blue inserts. That was my favorite truck I ever had. Keown's truck has fiberglass doors and a one piece doghouse that are lightweight . I can find out where they got them if your interested. I'd say with the work you already have in yours that you probably want the metal ones. Good luck with this killer truck!!

That's going to be one bad ride when you get it done.
I can't get enough of a fast truck.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for posting the pics David.
I see what you were talking about on the door gap deal.
I'm sure you'll get it taken care of.
It's gonna be an awsome ride for sure. Just hope I can see it go down the track sometime.

Looks good David.
Are you going to go with a full SFI 'glide case/bell unit & run a full length belly pan (w/no trans tunnel tin) or will it have a trans tunnel?
As far as the dash goes I'm becoming more & more a fan of having no dash at all in a full chassis double frame rail car. You can mount the secondary gauges directly to the dash bar with small brackets/tabs, or to the firewall (somewhere between the dash bar & the bottom of the windshield). And hang the tach/shift light/oil pressure light off the cage in your line of sight.
I really like the header dump out the fenders, it will reduce the amount of vibration rattling the tin loose under the car.

Re: Picking up the racetruck tomorrow; Here's a few pics..
Just got home with it. That was a long 8 hour trip. Dave, there is a full belly pan and I will be using a full SFI case with no tin, but I will have a blanket. There also will be no dash, just a tach and two gauges or just a Racepak dash. Chuck Ford is giving me a diaper off of one of his ProMod deals for the engine. The driveshaft tube isn't CM like it's supposed to be, so I am going to get some CM and roll it into a slightly smaller diameter and slide it inside the chrome big rig exhaust pipe. The door latches are still too hard to operate, so I may take the exterior door buttons out and cut a holes in the side glass to access the inside latch.
I'll unload it tomorrow and get it in it's new home and start taking a close look at it. I see a bunch of heavy stuff on the chassis, so I am going to lighten it even more. The motorplates need to have pockets machined in them and some of the steel brackets don't have any lightening holes in them.
