Tuning schedule 429 Mustang

Hi guys,

I just introduced myself in the introducion section and heres my first post.

I have built a 429 big block engine into my 69Mustang, together with a C6 tranny and 9" rear end. I think that will work for a little add of hp
The engine itself is stock. The only things that are modificated are:
-Edelbrock performer RPM intake
-MSD 6AL ignition with a blast2 coil
-Holley Dominator 750 carb
-Crites headers

the rest of the engine is stock until now.

I want to do some modifications in the future but I dont really know what to start with.

things i want to do the next years:
-camshaft
-heads
-crank???

-I want to reach: 500-600hp

My question for you are:
-what parts would you suggest for my engine? (I want to order my parts at Summit)
The car is used on street/strip.

Do a search on Engine Builds, you will find alot of builds like what your looking at doing.

hm.. not really any helpful listings.
sure I found lots of information about projects but nothing I could work with.
What I saw are a lot of beautiful engines and projects!

If anyone could send me some information I would be really happy..

I dont believe most of the hp number i've seen on any site i have run alot of 460 and 514 that number were high but didnt run like it i'm asking the same right now onford 460 forum my engine puts out 490 hp according to mph calulator by wallace racing and last year at drag week there were some 514 that weight less and mph less thats hp i feel my build is as stout as ford racing 460 and there number is 550hp i think numbers sell if u want to c my build its in engine tech under is 490hp good for my build good luck

Computer calculators for hp figured off of mph and opinions do not always agree because of human error and varying efficiencies of a car's , drive train, weather , fuel , and Bs (unintentional or intentional human mathematical errors and claims) . .
