9" carrier
I'm thinking about getting this carrier for the mud truck. I have purchased yokes from these guys before and they sell good quality products. The 10 bolt pinion support is new to me. Is this necessary or not? I have a Motive spool and am going to reuse the gears in the carrier I have now.

I've talked to a couple guys Rob, that are running them around here. They've not had any problems. They didn't say anything about that 5 or 10 bolt pinion support though. It looks brutish. Price looks pretty reasonable too. Give Brydon @ Quick Performance a call and chew on his ear a little.

Nice guy, talked to him about my yokes and he was a great help. They are located over in Iowa and deal with a lot of roundy round racer stuff.

I've done business with them for the last 14 years Rob. Good guys for sure.

I guess my biggest question is, is the 10 bolt pinion support necessary? They have another carrier that is cheaper and has the standard 5 bolt pinion support. It does not have the through bolted main caps either. How much is too much?

That is what happened to my strange 3 rd member at the end of last year , pulled the threads out of the case so the extra bolts are a good thing when dealing with aluminum cases in my opinion .
Its too much if you have to buy it twice

Talked to Braydon today and have the parts on the way. Decided to go to a set of 40 spline axles. Small $ upgrade for the peace of mind.
