New glue I tried
I broke the plastic hose barb off of a small transfer pump the other day and could not find a replacement at a local hardware store. The gentleman helping me suggested this glue called Q bond , anyway it is a powder that you sprinkle out and then apply the glue it bonds in 10 seconds and is very very strong. I just wanted to pass it along I had not heard of it before.

Did you buy it at the hardware store?
Thier site doesn't list any retailers.
I may try and get some for work. We have several applications where it might work for us.

But this mom and pop store has more items per square foot than any hardware store I have ever seen.

More than likely just powdered plastic. The 'glue' is just cyanoacrylate (super glue). You can get various drying-time CA glues at any hobby shop. The powder these guys are selling probably works good as a filler 'cause the solvent in the glue is exposed to more material (surface area) than just a single flat surface in repairs.

walmart would'a been cheaper! i'd pay 3x before i went to see though.

Like DFI429 said, it's in the cyanoacrylate family. Other brands I've used on my RC models are Great Planes and Hot Stuff. They even have a surgical type CA they use in hospitals. They used it on me when they opened my chest for the heart surgery, no stitches .
Randy, I almost forgot, store it in the refrigerator when your not using it. It will greatly extend the shelf life.

Lol.. Doug you just reminded me of the guys I've worked with that'll patch up a finger cut at the drop of a hat with CA..
Never done it myself, and as such, I still look at them funny

They did that for my nose when I sliced it open, 11 stitches in my face thoughDoug Rahn wrote:They used it on me when they opened my chest for the heart surgery, no stitches
