1st Pro Stocker in the .40's
Allen Johnson in his Dodge Avenger, was the 1st Pro Stocker to leave the 6.50's behind in a testing session in Bradenton. He ran a 6.498 @ 213 mph. That's skippin' right along. At least it wasn't one of the GM guys.

Glad to see AJ do it and as you said sure proud it was not Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Re: 1st Pro Stocker in the .40's
Bradenton was always one hookin' sumbitch. Loved racing there. Used to watch pro stock teams test there, clickin' 'em off at 1000' and going quicker than anything at the Gators. If you can't stick a car there, you can't stick a car. That's neat that AJ did it.

Yep. But look on the bright side (if you can call it that) the engine in Larry Morgan's Mustang bares an awful resemblance to the one in the Mopar.

That's right it doesn't. It's already been discussed that they were in temps and DA's that they will probably never see during the season and that they had a 10 MPH tailwind. So, about the only thing they didn't have was a downhill track.johndickjr wrote:it means 100% nothing in testing

True dat. Winter air near the FL coast is about as good as it gets.
