Re: Need help on oil pump...
The Kaase pump really is a good investment for many reasons,
1. Its very beefy and won't break off like some of the others
2.It is very well engineered
3. Its a good sleep aid (no worries about it's performance)

Re: Need help on oil pump...
The Kasse pump is much better engineered and much stronger.
If possible, this weekend I'll try to stream or upload some video from a previous tech seminar about the Kasse pump.

X2 it sounds expensive untill one of the $50 pumps cracks and causes Thousands in damage.......

If you're looking for lightweight then the Kaase pump isn't for you because, it weighs twice as much as a Melling oil pomp.
Besides the fact that the Kaase pump is cast from DUCTILE IRON instead of regular CAST IRON and the inlet fills the pumping element from BOTH sides not just one side; the pump pedestal, (the part that breaks), which bolts to the block is about 3" wide by 1 1/4" thick and a Melling is about 1 1/8" and near round.
Re: Need help on oil pump...
you can find peterson pumps used for pretty cheap considering what they do.

Re: Need help on oil pump...
for what it is worth when I changed I noticed the oil PSI was now steady. where before it fluctuated.... the pump is stout some cranks need to have the pump slightly clearanced. but no biggy.... and you sleep with piece of mind knowing you have it in there vs the Melling.....
