!
Yeah, had a few back in the day, but have long since outgrown the need to do it often enough to get caught.

Re: I hate Insurance Companies!!!!
There were two concerns I had originally started with; the excessive use of laws that overlap current laws but have greater penalties and private Insurance Companies who want no supposed risk. I say supposed because I was at a Car Show today and there were plated twin turbo street cars, plated big blocks with big blowers, 572 crate motors stuffed into little cars and trucks that were all street legal. Hot Rod Drag Week shows how on the edge a car can be for the street and lay down some crazy numbers at the strip. But nitrous, now that's evil .
I spoke with some brokers at the show about what constitutes an illegal nitrous system; was it when it was hooked up, the plate, the bottle, anything with a label? They had no answers which was really helpful. Some may think having the tank(s) is high risk since nitrous is an oxidizer, well what about propane or natural gas, what about 400lbs of batteries in the new Volt. These should all be high risk or banned due to dangers to the public.
For the use of my vehicle nitrous was the cost effective approach. I don't have the fear of sneezing and climbing a tree because of some insane horsepower, I don't have a valvetrain that needs constant maintenance due to a really high lift cam, I get a bit better mileage than if I maxxed out the displacement. I have no problems with any of those approachs but for my use the occasional use of giggle gas was best and looked cool with the bottles in the bed at car shows.
Canada is definitely a different animal to live in, not better nor worse but different. Like anyone else I just get tired of rules that make no sense when looked at in the broader sense.

I,, like you do not want anyone telling me what I can do. If I want to use nitrous oxide, then I want to use it, and if I want to use cocaine, then I want to use it.
We should be able to screw our own bodies and lives up as much as we want, but I should not be able to screw somebody else's life up because of my poor decisions.
