Re: nose job .....
call Lem on the starter, 50 bucks was just a cheap number I tossed out there, it seems my brother bought one for the 306 (same deal) and it was dirt cheap.
btw my freebie chain store 12v battery works just as good as the 16v deal, but I dont have all the bs to run you do.

Re: nose job .....
All I will say right now is we had some very personal best 60ft times and Mikey was chopping down that tree with the delay box. Down track was crap since the track hasn't been raced on since Oct., especially after that damn jet powered school bus and outhouse made a pass. We quit after trying to make a run behind it I hope we can get in one session before the Bash.

Re: nose job .....
Just bought my starter on Friday from Advanced Auto for $125.07 with the core charge and MI sales tax. Comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Don't know if you have an Advance store in your neck of the woods. You can order and buy on-line and get a 20% discount. It can be shipped to you free of charge or you can pick it up locally. Part # I got was P3226S.
Fits a 97 F-250 460 W/auto trans.
Can't tell you how it works cause I'm in the beginning stages of the engine install but I can tell you that Blake told me to get one for that model I mentioned above and said with my 13.3-1 comp it will spin it just fine .

Bruno, go back through the search section, I ordered one off e-bay, they are real cheap, like 50 bucks, Ieven sent my old one in, and he rebuilt it for half price, I think Rick Brown gave me the name.

Re: nose job .....
x2 on the DB Electrical.
They have worked good for almost 2 years.
After my Powermaster decided to gernade I bought 2 from them.
One is on my bbf truck and I swapped the nose on the spare for my 5.8 truck.

What happened to your powermaster? What model is it?
I might have parts to fix yours.

Re: nose job .....
Nick the model I have is the Mastertorque p/n 9605 with 180ft lbs http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/180_ft-lb_starters.html . The motor is good.
If the motor will fit your starter you can have it.
I don't think it will fit on the 200 ft lb (XS) and higher torque starters.

Starter
Nick,
I went through 3 high dollar starters before getting a $62.00 piece stock starter from DBElectrical and it has been on the car for almost two years now. It is stock for a FORD F250 truck in the 90's I think.
