Nick, Bobby Anthony and Ward will probably hit I-65 around Cullman. I usually meet them at the Priceville(Decatur) exit and eat breakfast. David Cole will probably be following me, as he lives just 30 miles down the road.

Re: windy Hollow ??????
I've never been there, but aren't there a few dragsters that have run close to that at Windy? Door car, dragster??? 4.40 is a 4.40 I would think. Make sure your brakes are good and have your chute packed. You're golden.

Re: windy Hollow ??????
Think again ...a dragster can run that speed alot safer because of their wheelbase and weight .Either one is flat out flying. I've seen Phillip go into the 40's there before in his dragster. I've seen a funny car bust a 3.97 once if my memory serves me right...I don't care where you are or what you drive ,a mid 4 pass is FAST!!ThndrChkn wrote:I've never been there, but aren't there a few dragsters that have run close to that at Windy? Re: windy Hollow ??????
Reeeeeeaaaally!? I'm very aware of the specifics. I've seen door cars run mid-4's on our 1/8 mile, and I guarantee it's not near as good of a track as Windy. Probably the same short shutdown, and like I said, I've never been to Windy, but "IF" I had a car capable of such feats, I'd run it there, or anywhere. Well, almost. Not that Mexican track... If the car is equipped to run it, & they all use chutes, and don't have any problems, why wouldn't they be able to run @ Windy or any other decent facility...?

Re: windy Hollow ??????
I've raced at Windy since the mid 70's ....Bring a 4.40 car to the Bash. Then come tell me about it after you make a pass. Then watch Bobby Small or Phillip make a 4.40 pass and tell which one goes down it better???

Re: windy Hollow ??????
im not trying to start anything here guys ,
for one it would be bad azz to have one of the fastest bbf in the country to be on the grounds !!!!
second he weights in at 3300 lbs , thats a hugh differance then say Phillips dragster or any chassis car ....

Re: windy Hollow ??????
To me it seems as though it's not a question of whether or not it can be run but, whether he can STOP it.

Re: windy Hollow ??????
without a doubt holding the power will be a non issue, but you better be hangin chutes before the stripe if the car is not real light, and even then it would be a good idea..................lol

Re: windy Hollow ??????
I would throw the laundry and just to be safe, take a nice BBW that isn't into butt floss out to dinner the night before just as an added measure!! Maybe she'd leave you her draws No such thing as too much material trying to stop 3300lbs @180 there. We know it'll stick but them binders are gonna get a workout!!

At any short shutdown track,If I get a 4.40 sec. door car down to the stripe,my biggest scarry concern would be "Am I gonna get this bitch stopped"

Re: windy Hollow ??????
see WAAYYY too many of them into floss.. See the "T-Bar" sticking up over the back of their pants, but it looks more like a Blue Whale's fluke.
when a thong takes more material than an average persons Tshirt. They should re-think what they're doing.
