this makes me think of my first build,351w.i did'nt put the oil pump shaft in and found it after it was all together in the car.i knew it went in but thought it went in with the diz,well it did.after i figured out i'd f******d up i took the clip off the shaft,took a bfh and smacked the end of it and drove it in the diz! it worked fine that way.lol

If it was me I would put the extension back in the socket and wiggle the top of the extension real good back and forth. I just dont see it not coming off.If all else fails I like the JB idea.
