180 Degree Headers
We are thinking about the idea of swapping sides with header pipes 4 and 8 like they used to do on the FE motors in 60's Fairlanes and Mustangs. This is not a true 180 degree design but its half way there. Is there any reason not to do this? It would make my rear pipes much straighter and easier to make them equal length. What do you think?

Re: 180 Degree Headers
The swapping of number 4 & number 8 pipes was originally to make it easier to lengthen those two to match the rest...
Re: 180 Degree Headers
Since 4 and 2 and 7 and 8 fire at only 90 degrees of crank rotation apart is there a benefit to separating them to the other bank?
