Guy's when had the engine in Tweety ,I was expieriencing some trapped air in cooling system problems. My problem is my rad. and filler tube is lower than my thermostat housing. I'm looking for a extended waterfill that mounts on the front of my A460 intake (SBF style) and extend up about 4 to 5" w/filler cap on top a
and has a AN16 fitting coming off the side for the rad. hose. Someone told me the Dragsters used them Exclamation

Anyone, anyone Laughing

Are yo talking about something like this. This is what David Cole has on his pipe rack. The manifold adapter is made by a guy who calls himself Cobra Earl, it converts the SB Ford to Chevy. I have one I'm going to use on the SB Mustang, nice piece.

Rick,

I think what you'll need, is like what David Cole is running on his dragster. Contact him. IF, the engine still airlocks, then we/you can install a couple of bleeder valves in the back of the intake manifold, directly above where the water opening is from the intake surface of the heads. I had Todd Lawyer install a bleeder valve on Krissy's dragster.

What Doug has pictured there is very similiar to what we've made (homemade) in years past.

Hope this helps,
Charlie

I use the Cobra Earl adapter as Doug and Charlie mentioned. I use it with a CSR extended filler neck for a bbc. They have the filler neck with the -16 you need in either 3" or 6" tall. There are several other brands of similar product out there. Dedenbear has a good one.
