Extended bore question
How are the bores extended on the later D9 blocks? Is the whole lower wall lowered, or are the bores extended below the wall, into the crankcase, like the 302 was?

Brings up another Question. How much can you relieve a D9 block for stroker clearance before running into water?
I have a D9 block, FWIW.

Re: Extended bore question
You don't have to relieve the block........just put up to a 4.5" crank and a steel rod.
