I am new here so hope I am doing this right.
I beleive that you will find that a 2 stage fuel pres. regulation will work best. Morrosso and others make a pres. reg. that bumps it up from about 4.5 to 7 lbs when the vaccum falls...ie throttle wide open. This and large enough fuel lines work very well. Even my sedate street motor at 550 hp. requires this to work best. I helps keep fuel problems at low speed under control and moves adequate vol to keep the bowls full WOT and it is is adjustable with a fuel return line so the needles don't get overwhelmed dune to vaporization from heat build up.

That depends upon the size of the hole in the actual seats and where you wish for the running fuel level to be.
6 1/2 pounds is a good place to start with an "out of the box" 850 carburetor.

Im new to this tuning stuff also, I assume the carb is stock and not sure what pump is on the car but I do know its mounted at rear bumper with fram filter set-up and has 1/2 fuel line run from sump to reg to carb. No return line.rmcomprandy wrote:stanggt wrote:what should the pressure be regulated to for 850 hp carb? scj alum.heads victor460 intake solid lift camshaft 466cu. thanks
