9 inch ford disc brake caliper brackets
currie housing, and i want to use my stock rear disc brakes from my 2002 mustang. anyone make a set that is just the brakets and not the rest of the stuff.
Re: 9 inch ford disc brake caliper brackets
Got any pics of the 2002 setup? I had a friend that robbed a late Mustang and welded his own stuff up...

Use a small bearing Housing end.
You will need to get the axels with the proper flange Dimensions & Spacing also.

the thing to watch carefully is your axle selection. with the small bearing ends you can get brackets to mount your brakes. but your brakes have a 3.5in offset from the flange. Strange will not make custom axles with that offset because they say it can stress them to break. so you have to get a brake setup with a 2.5 offset. like an explorer brake kit. unfortunately ford doesn't make them anymore. i found a company that still had a few sets and got lucky.
moser also makes axles that will accomodate the 3.5 offset, and you can find the brackets on north race cars to mount the calipers. i wanted strange axles based on performance and strength data and went that route. but decide what you're comfortable with and go from there. also give one of the axle manufacturers a call and see what they say. it's never a bad idea to upgrade your brakes anyways to some strange or aerospace

Then you are going to need to fabricate brackets or change the ends. The 8.8 stuff won't fit the large bearing stuff.
+ the axels (Like has already been said) will need to have the correct flange dimension from the housing for the brakes you want to use.

the brackets these guys make seem to correct the offset if i am reading it right?
and i need new axles anyways since the ones in the rear are 4 lug.
