I'll let Keith fill in all the particulars when he gets time. I usually don't like to watch index racing, but it was fun to watch Keith cheers . Great seeing you again Keith!

Queen of the Silver Dollar
(Shel Silverstein)

She arrives in all her splendor
Every night at nine o'clock.
And her chariot is the crosstown bus
That stops right down the block.
Then the old piano minstrel
Plays her song as she walks in,
And the Queen of the Silver Dollar's home again.

She's the Queen of the Silver Dollar,
And she rules this smokey kingdom.
And her sceptre is a wine glass,
And this bar stool is her throne.
And the jesters flock around her,
And fight to win her favors
And see which one will take the Queen
Of the Silver Dollar home.

Her royal gown is a satin dress
That's stained and slightly torn.
And her sparklin' jewels are rhinestones,
And her shoes are scuffed and worn
From the many roads she's traveled
And the wondrous sites she's seen.
And I watch her and I pray.
God save the Queen.

The Queen of the Silver Dollar's
Not as haughty as she seems.
She was once an ordinary girl
With ordinary dreams,
But I found her and I won her.
And I brought her into this world.
Yes, I'm the man who made a Queen
Of a simple country girl.

Now she's the Queen of the Silver Dollar,
And she rules this smokey kingdom.
And her sceptre is a wine glass,
And this bar stool is her throne.
And the jesters flock around her
And fight to win her favors
And see which one will take the Queen
Of the Silver Dollar home.

10.90 at 143 mph. That's got to be hard to judge in the rear view mirror. Very Happy

The 125-130 MPH cars seem to run under the index and break out..a lot while waiting for the old Ford to fly past. It has run as fast as 147+ at 10.90 (when the engine was fresh...)
What a cool weekend. Cool
I had the car in 10.90 trim and had not touched it since Charlotte. I had to choose between a Super Street 10.90 race or a Super Gas 9.90 deal. Being lazy...I left the car alone and ran S/ST. All was good until I ran my buddy Leland in the third round, and got treed...AND got the short end of a double breakout run.
Later in the day, I removed the electronics and throttle stop, installed the restrictor plates and about 200# of ballast and tweaked the timing to put it in 10.0 Index and 9.90 S/G setup for next weekend's Lucas Oil race.
I got one time shot Satuday afternoon and it ran a nice smooth 9.84. Sunday morning, I changed the shift point in an attempt to get it closer to 9.90 for the Super Gas race for the day. We only got one time run, since the rain was coming. Another 9.84....
I made some more aggressive adjustments and rolled up for round 1 where a 2300# tube car flew past me running 165 mph...and I only ran 10.00. At least I have a decent 10.0 setup for next week!
It was great to see my fellow BBF loyalists from the forum. We had a nice visit. The dragster flat hauls...!
Stopped at the shop on the way home and put the finishing touches on a customer's all aluminum 482" FE engine that I hope to dyno on Tuesday. Just rolled back in to Alpharetta at midnight.
Another boring, restful day of retirement. Wink
Thanks!
Keith

Best pass was 9.0 at 150 with good air and a way over-revved low gear shift.
I was on a "10.90" run, but inadvertently had the switch turned off for the electronics and shifter.
Bad air, at 3825# it runs about 9... Teens.
