What fuel for my combo ?
Im wondering if i can get away with a 110/93 half and half mix vs. straight 110 ? its a 472'' with scj diamond flat tops and scj heads, the piston was about .006 in the hole, the cam is a solid flat tappit 260-268 @.050 637-648 lift. Randy M said before that 12to1 is to low for straight 110 but to high for 93 so it got me thinking maybe i can mix it.

M+R divided by 2 ... 100 to 104 octane gasoline.

Thanks Randy , i had a chart years ago that gave all the diffrent octanes when mixing fuels but have never been able to find it figures one of those things i put away so i would never misplace it again Damn i hate good hiding spots they work everytime

That is SOooo wrong ... it is presuming both fuels are leaded fuels of a certain amount.
It could be anywhere from 98 to 105 depending upon how much tetraethelead is within each one's chemical make-up or whether or not lead is present at all.
Appropriate Gasoline:
Leaded?
VP "Motorsport 103"
VP C11
Turbo Blue
Leaded, Oygenated ?
VP "Motorsport 109E" (with Ethanol and really heavy specific gravity)
VP MRX-01
VP VPR
VP U4.4
Unleaded with Ethanol Oxygenate ? (street legal and catalytic converter friendly)
VP 100 (aka Street Blaze 100)
Unleaded ?
VP C10
Sunoco 100
Rocket Racing unleaded (Union 76 unleaded)

Randy, My A-headded deal gonna be around 12:1 how would C12 work. I am gonna spray nitrous and was thinking running a seperate cell with c16 for a big shot. Does the cam play a factor for fuel selection? Didn't mean to hijack the thread.

C12 is probably one of the most used leaded racing fuels ever, LOL.
It probably has a lot to do with cost and being SPEC fuel for a lot of organizations..
Personally, I would look into using VP113 oxygenated fuel which weighs almost the same and it will make more power at your 12/1 compression ratio. You won't need to use something different for nitrous.

I am looking up to a 400 shot. Does that change things?

The HP size of the nitrous system doesn't make any difference as long as the MIXTURE and ignition timing is correct.

Around 12:1 and what ever timing is needed to be taken out. I discussed with Bob that I am goning to run the MSD power grid setup for ignition and the timing system. I thought about doing around 13:1 but I think 12:1 will give me more of a window to be safe.
