Not to disagree with Dan, I think you'll find the FE Ford especially at 10.5:1 will not want to veer far from the "standard" heat range.

I use the plain old autolite 45's in my iron head 390, 410, 460 builds. Always seemed to run the best with them versus the AR33, 124, AP8FS that I've tried.

Plugs for a 428 FE Empty BF 32 for me

Post  Wheelie58 October 22nd 2011, 9:25 pm

My FE days are long gone, but fond memories linger. My first 352 had a "donated" Mickey Thompson cam and 2 Carter AFBs that came from entirely different cars. That was followed by a patched up 427 with 3 different types of "donated" pistons. It seemed that the older racers felt sorry for this 15/16 year old gear head and would give me boxes full of parts no longer suitable for their world.
Now that my trip down memory lane is exposed, I will share the history of my use of a good old BF32 Autolite for many years in an assortment of FEs.

I'll get some 45's for breakin and see if I can find some AR33 to try out. If they don't work, I'll just stick with the 45's

Thanks Guy's
