Well. since you asked......
I went to Frank Hawley's to upgrade my license to run T/D next year. Also to do some testing..
The 3 passes above got the job done...
Going down there, I knew the torque converter was probably too tight...( I just didn't know how tight)..
It also turned out to be a warm and humid day ( rain in the area all day)..
I was right , the converter only flashed to 5200, instead of 6400 or so...It didn't "flash" up
It just sort of launched the car and went up as the car rolled out...
Watching videos of runs, it also seems shock is too soft, but I wanted to be safe, to just get down track..
All in all, a good first outing.. Converter is out to be sent off..
Lots to do, to be ready by Feb 11...

I am not running this weekend..
Car has been back together and we tested last weekend...
I was suppose to run at SGMP, NHRA D2 event..
But I had issues with the truck on the way down yesterday, and never made it...

I was going to ride down and help out if you would have needed any. I need to get mine out again thinking about lowering the compression and making it street legal after I finish my 69 rebuild.

Yeah, it just sucked all the way around...
Fortunately, I was only about 40 miles from home..
Managed to limp off I95 and called wife to come get trailer.
Went back today and got truck...
It appears it blew at least one of the rubber hose connectors from the turbo to the intakes..
Needless to say, the language I was using would have made a sailor blush...

Remember the old saying, if it’s got t**s or tires in the end it’s gonna give you problems!!!

I know what you’re saying, I have an 01 Powerstroke SD and often think I should get a newer truck then I look at the price and all of the stuff on them that can break and talk myself right out of it.
