Nothing like getting your first car back. I tracked down mine earlier this year and bought it back for more than I sold it for...

That is great doing something like that for one's dad. My dad has always wanted his 66 GTO back, but I doubt he will ever get one. I've found several like what he had, and he just says that was in the past and I'd never really enjoy it, but he will always have the memories. I have never become attached to vehicles, and don't wish to have any of them back, but there are a lot of people that always want to go back, and I can certainly respect that. If someone has a nice 65 or 66 red Mustang that they would part with, I do need one for my wife's mom though.

Great video regardless of make or model.
I still have my first car that my father and I restored when I was 14. It will be passed down to my little one.

That's wild Dave..I still have my 1st cat too.....A 66 Comet. It's next in line to get restored.I've found a great set of doors and fenders, the 1/4's are bad ,but I'll make them. I'm going to Pro Street it. Just debating on leaving the FE in itor go to a 385 series engine. It came out with a 289 stick.I love my old CometDave Maxwell wrote:I still have my first car. 66 come.t Dad and I restored together. High school grad present

Great video!!
I would love to get a hold of my dad's Torino he had bought new. '71 Torino GT 351C 4v with a c-6. Grabber Green (the metallic green), yellow to black laser stripes, white with black interior, GT moldings on rockers, magnum 500 wheels. The car was near mint when he sold it about 10-15 years ago, but was getting tired. I have searched and searched, but can not find a thing on it. They will not give me the vin number for it or the '73 mustang they had. Last I heard, it went to Minnesota, I think.
