IT"S ON ! 2012 Winter Tech Seminar at Don Bowles's Shop. Jan 14th

Guys, Donald Bowles has graciously consented to letting us have the 2012 Winter Tech Seminar at his shop in Hanson, Ky, which is just north of Madisonville, KY off the Pennyrile Pkwy, (also known as the new I-69 route). This is about 35-40 miles southwest from the Texas Roadhouse in Owensboro, Ky. We will be in building "A" of the Don Bowles Corp. compound, which is on the corner of Ky Hwy 862 and Bowles Lane.

We will be working hard on getting our guest speakers lined up, but the good news is that Jon Kaase has already agreed to be one of them. I'm also trying to get a guest speaker from FORD Racing, and we'll have various racecars on display. Most importantly, you be able to see some of Don's older cars such as the Fairmont.

I plan on charging $20 per head, which will help cover expenses, and WILL include a catered noon meal there at Don's place. I will be posting more info as this develops such as motel info and rates.

Please mark your calenders and plan on being there. You'll have cabin fever by then anyway, and it will be a good time to get out of the house. It will be a long weekend for some of you, because Monday Jan. 16th is the M. L. K. holiday.

You can count of a couple of guys from here Charlie, Denny and I will be there. It doesn't sound like Steve or Doug will be able to attent though.

Charlie, It was my honor to have everybody at my house that day.We all still talk about it.One of my favorite memories was Jay from IDT's friend leaning up against the lift after consuming a little to much of the shine ,and thinking to myself what a long ride home it was for them.People that don't make the seminar or the bash don't know what their missing.It's about having a good time around good friends.Thanks again for all you do.

Man i wish it was a week earlier i might have made it.The place where i work is closed the week before that.Well maybe one of these years i'll make it to the Tech Seminar or the BBF Bash.

For Mapquest enter; "Bowles Place, Madisonville, KY",,,,, or enter "645 A Lenin Lane, Madisonville, KY".

Either one will get you there. Note; Lenin Lane is also KY Hwy 862.

For motels Donnie and I checked out three, that are very close by at exit 44 off of the Pennyrile Pkwy. They are; The Comfort Inn, Best Western, and the Day's Inn. Those are side by side at exit 44 on the north side of Madisonville. The one to stay away from is the Cardinal Inn, as it is a run down flea bag motel. I will be working on special Tech Seminar rates, give me time please.

Furthermore, some of you may want to stay in Owensboro, KY at the usual motels out by the Texas Roadhouse. As I said earlier, Donald's shop is about 35-40 miles away. Maybe,,, hopefully,,, we can manage to have a BB Ford engine on the dyno out at the machine shop in Philpot, KY just east of Owensboro, for you early arrivals on Friday.

Best bet for hotels is probably going to be Madisonville KY...It's not far from there at all...I stayed at a Days Inn there recently, and it was a decent place, and there were others nearby. Fortunately, I live close enough to drive

Send them to your dealers, Lem or Phillip. That's what they are for. In other words, if Charlie from Charlie's Oil Pans can't be there, then Lem will have his product on his display table. Likewise if Marvin B. from Quick Fuel (who has been a previous guest speaker) can't be there, then Phillip will have his carbs on display.

Boo Boo

I figured if it was right after the new year I could make it but pushed back a couple weeks like that I bet I will be SOL. I should be back at work by then. Maybe next year.

Never attended before but I plan on being there!
