I'll be driving from Tulsa, OK to the BBF Tech Seminar. I'll be leaving out early Friday morning to arrive before supper time or Thursday and make a leisurely drive out of it. If somebody is along the route (non-smoker or can make the drive without 'smoke breaks'), I'll drop by and pick you up. Just to make sure I'm clear...you'll need your own food money, hotel room, ect...unless you're cute!

It's Dad's birthday weekend, and my siblings have plans for him, so I'm coming solo. It's been awhile for a road trip. Maybe I missed it Charlie, but where do we send the registration money? Or do we give it to you on the day? This should be an easy run with no trailer, truck, and car coming down. I will make good time in my Crown Vic. LOL

When do we need to pay admission fee?
Is the admission fee's amount absolute?
What does the admission fee include/ (i.e; food, drinks, etc)
What do we need to bring as to personal preference?
What time shall the Seminar begin?

Okay guys,

Here's some updates and I'll try to answer Dave's questions.

1. I would like for you to pre-register in order to help get an accurate head count on how many we are going to feed. Please send a check to me at; (No, I don't do PayPal or Visa.)

2. Admission is $20 per person. This amount is absolute. No 1/2 day rate or anything like that.
3. Even if you don't pre-register, feel free to come on and attend, we will take your $20 at the door.
4. We will feed you lunch there on the site. It will be catered by Moon-Lite Bar-B-Que.
5. The seminar begins at 8:00 a.m.,,,,,Sat. Jan. 14th 2012. It will be all day.
6. IF, you are driving and IF you can, bring a lawn chair to set in. IF you can bring a folding table, please do so. Because we are at Don's shop, we do not have an abundence of tables and chairs, like what we did the years that we held this event at the hotels.
7. Many of you have suggested eating at the Texas Roadhouse on Friday night, and/or Saturday night. That's fine with me. Rick Brown was the coordinator of that social gathering when we were in Terre Haute, IN at Rose-Hulman, and if he will accept that responsibility again, I will appreciate him being the coordinator.

Charlie,Thats fine w/me. But like I said,me,Sooz and Harold will be close to 8pm . If we are not there yet,someone can just tell the girls at the front whats goin on and try to get us as close as possible. Ya'll bring your Camera's also.It's always good to show some faces later.

The Roadhouse would actually prefer us having a late dinner. In other words 8:45 is much better for them than 8:00. There's a better chance for the "supper crowd" to be done and out of there by then. Once we get in there, we'll probably want to "close the bar down".

Thanks for the info Charlie! I'm sending my check out today. I already sealed the envelope, but I think I may have written 2011 on the date. Just change it to 2012 if I didn't. I'm looking forward to the road trip and I will be there for dinner Friday night at the Roadhouse for sure.
