advice on a oil leak
seems i've developed an oil leak at the base of the dipstick tube where it goes into
the timing cover, looking for advice on how to fix without having to pull the cover, is that something that can be welded or should i do the rtv thing? oil seems to be getting pushed
up the tube and the nat the base is where it comes out, i currently have a stock ford type pcv setup on the motor left valve cover with the pcv valve going to the base under the carb and the right cover hose going to the air cleaner, motor is a solid roller 557 11:1 cr
thanks

Re: advice on a oil leak
I would think that you could clean it with a brake/carb type aerosol cleaner and then use RTV to seal it. I would make sure the PCV is working properly so that the crankcase is getting proper venting.
