Do i have the correct dip stick for my pan?
I was just wondering if i have the correct dipstick for my oil pan. The part number is E5he 6750 ba i was wondering is this a 460 stick?. Will it work with my 429?. How far in the pan is the dipstick suppose to sit?. Thanks for all of your help.

I am not a Ford parts guy but that part number should be off of an 80's something vehicle. Based on the fact that it begins with an E. Since they stopped making 429's in the 60's I am pretty sure it is not an original 429 dipstick. As far as whether it will work with your engine or not goes, that will depend a lot on exactly what your combination is. If you are talking stock front sump pan or truck mid sump yada yada. In general terms virtually all of the metal ford dipsticks are very similar. I would do a fresh oil change then insert your new dipstick. If the oil level matches up to your mark then its all good. If not then take a small file and make a notch on the edge to indicate full and voila you have a new dipstick.
