intake gaskets?
Did a search not able to find much.
Sorry for a dumb question.
I have stock 73 heads, edelbrock intake and need to know what gaskets to use? and if to use cork rubber or no gaskets on the end?
I used a set of gaskets the machine shop said i had to use, forget the brand, had blue rubber around all ports built in, I also have a stock type replacement with rubber ends.
I need to replace the leaking ones now , used the rubber ends with solicone at the corners. Leaks water.
Will the stock type replace ment work? or do i need to try the ones with rubber built in around the ports?
Tips or advice welcome!
Thanks

Re: intake gaskets?
I just use Felpro gaskets which are blue. I always put a skim coat of silicone around the water ports though. As far as end seals I have used cork ones, the rubber ones and no seal, just a bead of silicone and had success with them all. The bead of silicone seems to be the favorite now a days though.
